Introduction
Thanksgiving Day is always a great holiday being a time to spend with family and get our fill of delicious foods and drinks! It is nice to have that special occasion mixed drink and this holiday is time to celebrate. If you love the usual pumpkin pies and tasty desserts, then you will be a huge fan of this cocktail called, Thanksgiving In a Glass drink. Think of it in terms of a pumpkin pie and apple cider mule (which is also a delicious cocktail in its own right and made with vanilla vodka, pumpkin butter, and ginger beer – another post for another time).
So, this being similar to a Pumpkin Pie-Cider Mule, we call it, “Thanksgiving in a Glass”. If you have one, you just might be hooked!
Ingredients
- Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka (seasonal product, should be available for Fall & Winter months). If you can not find it, try PinnacleWhipped and add Pumpkin Pie Spice from your local grocery store (play with spice content adding a little at a time)
- Spiced Apple Cider
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Nutmeg Powder
- Whipped Cream
Directions
Warm up your apple cider in a saucepan, for about 6 minutes over medium heat in a small pan. It’s ready when you start to see a little steam and the cider is swirling just a little bit on the surface. This gets the cider nice and hot, while never reaching a boil. (alternately, you could heat 8oz of cider in your microwave for about one minute)
Place a cinnamon stick in your mug and pour a shot of Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka over it.
My ratio is one part vodka to two parts cider.
Top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with nutmeg.
Enjoy! And please, drink responsibly.
